# *ULC RULES* ***
## 1. Rosters
**1.1** All leagues must have 3 managers. **1.2** All leagues must have between 9 and 15 players on their roster at any given time. Managers don't have to be included on the roster, but they must be if they want to play in LvLs. **1.3** Leagues may drop and add players that have not yet played in a ULC LvL. You may not drop anyone that has played a game for you and you may not pick up a player that has played for another league.
## 2. Scheduling
**2.1** Matches shown in the bracket must be played by their listed weeks, though you may play them earlier if you wish. **2.2** All match times must be agreed upon by both leagues in advance and submitted to ULC staff. Please confirm that a staff member has received the correct information so as to avoid any miscommunication. **2.3** If both leagues are around and a staff member is present, you can just play your LvL unscheduled, but please don't assume that staff will always be around. **2.4** If you need to reschedule a match, you must contact your opponent 24 hours beforehand and agree upon a new time, so make sure to schedule times that you know you'll be able to play at. **2.5** If you don't show up for a LvL that you scheduled, it will be a 5-0 forfeit, no matter the week. Don't schedule unless you plan on playing. **2.6** Every week ends on Sunday at 11:59 pm EST. **2.7** All mandatory LvLs must be scheduled and submitted to ULC staff by Thursday at 11:59 pm EST each week. **2.8** There is a ULC Discord server for scheduling and discussion. All managers must join the server and get manager rank. You do not have to contact other managers through the Discord, but it is not a bad idea to have some sort of initial contact, as we will use that as evidence of reaching out if a LvL is not submitted in time. **2.9** If not one, but both leagues fail to be able to schedule a LvL on their designated week, ULC staff will make an executive decision to set a date and time for both leagues to do their LvL in the next week, while trying to keep in mind what is best for both. ULC staff will determine how the LvL and its scoring will be handled. **2.10** If Azure has connectivity issues during a LvL, go to the Discord server for information on continuing the LvL.
## 3. LvLs and Battles
**3.1** The timer may be turned on at any point during a ULC battle. **3.2** Players cannot modjoin games. **3.3** All replays must be saved. It is the responsibility of the winning team to submit all replays. If replays are missing, a LvL may be voided. **3.4** All battles must be started within 6 minutes of the 2nd !pick. If one player does not respond, the other player must provide a screenshot of their challenge and a timestamp. **3.5** If a league is missing players, they may start a LvL down with less than 5 players. **3.6** If both leagues are missing players, they will play as many battles as can be played, and the team with fewer players will forfeit a game for every extra player the other league has. This can end in a tie. **3.7** Each league may make 2 substitutions per LvL. Players must be subbed out before they have been !picked. **3.8** Each type may only be used by a league once per LvL. **3.9** Multiple battles may be played at once, so long as both leagues agree to it. They must agree on a game by game basis. **3.10** If both leagues agree, a player may play early if they have to leave. However, if that player does skip the !pick, the other league cannot request the same for that battle. (You can't decide that one of your players has a good MU vs. a player that needs to leave and have them play early.) **3.11** LvLs will start a maximum of 15 minutes after the scheduled time. If a league has not submitted a roster by that time, they forfeit the match 5-0. **3.12** Finals will be 7v7 as opposed to the regular 5v5. **3.13** All suspected mons will be legal until they get voted out.
## 4. Scoring
**4.1** This season, all 5 games of every LvL will be played, no matter how many wins one league gets. **4.2** Placement will be decided using total wins, with point differentials as a tie break. Point differentials = how many points you won or lost each LvL by. A 5-0 is worth 5 points, 4-1 is 3, 3-2 is 1, and losing is the reverse. This is why playing every game counts, even if you have less than 5 players on. **4.3** Head to head wins will be a secondary tiebreak if necessary.
## 5. Sportsmanship
**5.1** Don't be a dick. **5.2** We understand that ULC is not a super serious event, but that also means that it's not that big a deal. Staff will make judgement calls regarding abuse, and will warn, mute, and/or DQ a player from a LvL if needed. In extreme cases, ULC may interpret rules as they see fit, and if there is not a specific rule for something, their ruling will stand.
## 6. Questions
**6.1** If you have any questions or concerns about these rules, please voice them. We want this to be as clear as possible.
## Links
[ULC Spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F0jEYKCFu6KK6af1chtLgjOdj_CAH3hrVDgmqBctt-0/edit?usp=sharing) [ULC Discord](https://discord.gg/dZKCtHp)
